Cooper G. Overstreet
Cooper began working at The Swain Law Office as a law clerk in 2013. After passing the bar exam in 2014, Cooper began advocating for clients as an associate attorney. Since that time, he has represented hundreds of clients in many different types of criminal matters. He has successfully tried felony cases and received acquittals and drastically reduced charges. Additionally, he has played an integral role in getting numerous high-level felony cases dismissed prior to trial, or pled down to greatly reduced charges.
Cooper has practiced in numerous jurisdictions throughout the State of Kansas. Additionally, he advocated for clients directly in both the Kansas Court of Appeals and the Kansas Supreme Court. Additionally, he is a member of both the Kansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyer's, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Cooper shows his passion for client-based advocacy by working directly with individuals to ensure they are treated fairly by the criminal justice system. It is this client-first approach that makes him an integral part of The Swain Law Office team.
